The unknown bandit arrived at Clavijo Minimarket at 6374 Castor Ave. at about 6:50 p.m., pointed a gun at the 43-year-old man behind the counter and demanded money, police said. The clerk instead called police, prompting the robber to flee without cash.

He was described as black, in his early 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build, a black Nike zip-up jacket, black pants, black sneakers and black baseball hat.
